The palm of Fortune (Trachycarpus fortunei) or Chinese Palm is a plant native to the mountains of China and Burma. It's a small high palm typically 2-4 meters. It's known as the most resistant of palm trees to low temperatures and therefore used in areas where other tree types do not grow and can not resist in dry climates. It is mainly used for ornamental purposes.
