The strobe pine (Pinus strobus), also known as the American white pine, is a large conifer nativ e of North-East America. It's a large tree and reaches up to 45 meters in height. They can live up to 200-250 years, and in some cases exceed 400 years. It prefers well-drained soils and cool and wet conditions, but is also found in marshy and rocky plateaus lands. It is mainly used at an industrial level for its wood and resin and widely used for water-proofing boats.
