The curly maple or platanoide is a typical tree of the forests and mountains of the northern hemisphere. The trunk height can reach an average of 20 meters and, in some cases exceed 30 meters. The trunk is slender and straight, with a nearly oval foliage. Its main branches extend upwards and is often planted in cities because of its high resistance to pollution and for its soft multicolored autumn leaves.
